Ruben Cañas, Vice President of Healthcare Construction.
Ruben’s journey began in 1989 as a local 32 refrigeration mechanic working for Carrier Corp. Over the ensuing 15 years, Ruben became a well-known and respected Senior Journeyman Chiller technician. In 2004 Ruben transitioned from field work and into project sales for a local mechanical contractor. Ruben joined the MacMiller family in 2006. Over the next 10 years Ruben made significant gains into the healthcare market, such that in 2016 we birthed our newest Business Unit – Campus Healthcare – which he leads today. Along the way Ruben earned his degree in Sustainability focusing on the built environment. Ruben continues to be instrumental in our success for our largest New Construction Healthcare projects like Swedish North Tower on First Hill and Children’s Forest B.
