Committed to the Best

Why work for MacDonald-Miller? At MacMiller, it’s personal. We take our work seriously, and we seriously enjoy working with each other.

We put our employees first because we know they are the company. We appreciate the time, energy, skills, ingenuity, and dedication of every single one of our employees. We show our love and gratitude throughout the year with – our Macfest Employee Appreciation Party, Mac90 Happy Hours, BBQ Events, Softball Teams, Onsite Ping-Pong Tournaments, Health Challenges, Aloha Shirt Fridays, and more.

What does a MacMillian look like? We look for the person who values integrity, creativity, growth, excellence, and community. Someone who believes in our mission to work with each other to make buildings work better. If you are smart and motivated, we want to meet you!

How do we create this company culture? We are not a company of lone rangers. We are a team that wants to work together, sharing knowledge and expertise across departments, to help arrive at one common goal – to be the best in the Pacific Northwest.

Sheet Metal Shop Foreman

Years with MacMiller:
In my 38 years in the industry, MacMiller has been the best company I have worked for, and that’s why I’ve been here 24 years.

This sticks out in my mind:
I remember the tight schedule MacMiller had with the Microsoft project. I knew the sheet metal shop could fabricate a lot of product per day, but this job really showcased our ability. Tons of coordination within MacMiller and the collaboration of highly skilled people in the shop made this job successful.

I come from quite a clan: I’m the youngest of 9 children (6 boys, 3 girls). My wife and I live in Sunland on the Columbia River, and our two children each have their own place in Tri-Cities. Boating, jet skiing, camping, and travel are some of the things my wife and I truly enjoy doing.

Open Positions

MacDonald-Miller is the premier mechanical contractor in the Northwest. And a huge reason for that is our people. Here, nothing is higher priority than creating an environment where employees can craft their own path, embrace technology, expand their skills, and, just as important, be themselves. We are a 2015 Finalist for “Best Places to Work in Washington”, in large part because our atmosphere is one of creativity and camaraderie, where the level of dedication is matched by the amount of fun we have!
