MacDonald-Miller Press Release in Oregon Business Magazine:

Jon Hay has been named Oregon General Manager of MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions.

With an extensive background in business and management, Hay brings a strong business acumen for developing teams and strong profitability to the businesses he has managed. Hay previously worked in the Oregon aviation industry, rising from a role as an aircraft mechanic to general manager of Hillsboro Aviation. He also served as president of Hillsboro Aero Academy.

Hay provides that expertise in logistics and operations to MacDonald-Miller, which is bringing its design-build solutions to both new construction projects and existing buildings in the Portland and Eugene/Springfield markets.

MacDonald-Miller is the main mechanical contractor on two large new construction projects in downtown Portland – the recently completed Moxy hotel, and Block 216, a 35-story mixed-use retail, condominium and Ritz-Carlton hotel building anticipated to be completed in 2023.

In addition to new construction projects, MacDonald-Miller provides energy efficient building systems, mechanical repairs, plumbing services and building controls automation for existing buildings. The company often partners with the Oregon Energy Trust to assist customers with cost-saving rebates to help pay for projects. MacDonald-Miller is also an Oregon Department of Energy Auditor qualified vendor for Oregon schools.

MacDonald-Miller currently is focusing on two timely services:
1.    Helping building owners and property managers with its Come Back with Confidence campaign to prepare buildings for a workforce that is returning to buildings closed during the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes improving ventilation, filtration, and humidity systems.
2.    Implementing Smart Building Services, which allow facility managers and building engineers to remotely monitor and adjust building systems to save time and money.
