We’re in an industry experiencing rapid growth and change. MacDonald-Miller strives to be the best partner for our customers, which translates into embracing innovation and implementing new technologies in the field. We’ve been at the forefront, launching initiatives like MacLens, (real-time visibility between service technicians in the field and customers) and MLAB (our virtual reality room built for customers to experience their building’s designs and make changes before it’s built). Our growth is reflective of our incredible Information Technology (IT) team, and with great appreciation for this team, today we highlight Maryna Wandschneider.
Maryna Wandschneider – IT Systems Administrator
What is it like working in IT? In this fast-paced, technology-driven climate, MacMiller strives to be a leader in the marketplace. This goal keeps our IT department, including my position, very busy. I love the challenges and learning opportunities my job brings me on a daily basis. I also love helping people troubleshoot and find solutions for their requests.
As a member of the IT Enterprise Strategy Group, whose purpose is to identify, align, and execute the technology needs of our overall corporate strategy, I am constantly reviewing, implementing, and integrating new applications and components into our Enterprise Applications toolset. My main responsibility is to make sure our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems are running smoothly and are available for our employees 24/7. I keep both systems, including multiple 3rd party add-ons, up to date, monitor data consistency, and make requested configuration changes. I also manage the synchronization of data between enterprise systems which is fundamental to our IT mission to breakdown departmental data silos and provide a comprehensive view of business data to the company.
What do you love about your job? Hands down one of the best things about my job is the unique culture we have at MacMiller! I love being a part of this awesome organization, especially the IT team. This company takes care of its people which makes for happy and loyal employees, who in return, make the business much more productive.
