Highline College
Des Moines, WA / 571,356 SF
The Highline College energy project affected 571,356 square feet of the campus. The project included upgrading the campus-wide building automation system backbone, retro-fitting the remaining two boilers with Exhaust Gas Analyzing controls, upgrading and customizing the exterior lighting fixtures. The energy savings components of the Building 4 FAA noise abatement remodel and performance management services to deliver and validate the guaranteed financial results. Each of these measures uniquely reduced energy costs and improve critical infrastructure. The project was partially funded through the Washington State Department of Commerce’s 2012 Energy Efficiency Grant Program and incentives from Puget Sound Energy.
Energy Results
The implemented projects resulted in a guaranteed annual energy savings of 812,891 kWh and 34,883 therms.
