Project Description

MacDonald-Miller was selected to provide MC/CM services on the Grant County Sheriff’s Complex and Law & Justice Building Remodel project. The new approximately 156,000-square-foot facility will provide critical infrastructure for Grant County, including more than 500 beds, booking and intake areas, medical and infirmary spaces, laundry and kitchen facilities, a secure sallyport, administration offices, sheriff’s offices, K9 facilities, evidence storage, and supporting operational spaces.

Through a collaborative approach and detailed planning, MacDonald-Miller delivered a final Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) proposal that was independently verified by a third-party estimator—and came in below the third-party estimate.

Designed to replace an outdated, overcapacity facility, the new Grant County Sheriff’s Complex modernizes corrections operations while demonstrating what’s possible when the owner and project team align early around cost, constructability, and long-term performance.

I’ve been involved in a lot of amazing, complicated, design-build projects in my career, and can honestly say that this is one that I’ve been the most proud to be a part of. Great owner, great GC, and our team was amazing. Richard Condrey, INW Project Sales Manager

MacDonald-Miller Difference

Delivery Approach

From day one, our preconstruction team worked to provide accurate estimating, constructability reviews, and value engineering opportunities that balanced performance, budget, and long-term operational needs.

By engaging early and working alongside the project team throughout design and preconstruction, MacDonald-Miller helped create a path forward that delivers value, supports community needs, and provides a safe, modern facility built for the future.
