Women in Construction Week:

We’re finishing up Women in Construction Week and today we want to highlight a new member of our team, Alison Hewa, Service Maintenance Account Manager, who joined our team a year ago. MacDonald-Miller works diligently to provide 24/7 service, priority response time, and exceptional customer care. Our Managers play a major role in the company’s ability to problem-solve for our customers and provide them with any solution that will make their building work better.

Alison Hewa, Service Maintenance Account Manager.

I’m new to the construction industry. I learned about the Account Manager position with MacDonald-Miller’s Portland office through a recruiting consultant. He mentioned MacMiller as a potential good fit for my career goals, so I started researching. It looked like a growing innovative company with a strong culture, and I immediately felt like it would be a great place for my professional growth.

As an Account Manager, my job is to learn about the customer and their needs. I help them find a solution for managing their building more efficiently. I love meeting new people and learning the vast landscape of heating, cooling, and energy management.

The best thing I love about working at MacDonald-Miller is the culture and the people. MacMiller is an innovative company that invests in the growth of employees, both personally and professionally. MacMiller is committed to the trade and is always seeking new insights and competitive advantages. And to anyone interested in a career in construction, the advice I would give is to listen and seek insight from anyone in the industry.
