Heat Pumps Removed and Replaced

Project Description

MacDonald-Miller partnered with Omak School District on an ESCO project that delivered 20 energy efficiency measures (EEMs) across six facilities: East Omak Elementary, North Omak Elementary, Omak Middle School (including the performing arts center), Omak High School, and Omak Alternative High School. The scope included new heat pumps, fluid coolers, supply fans, and heat recovery ventilation systems, along with RTU upgrades in the Middle School multipurpose room, kitchen, and gym. At the High School, we performed major boiler and controls upgrades to improve comfort, efficiency, and long-term system reliability.

Backed by 6,454 hours of project development, planning, and engineering, this ESCO project showcased MacDonald-Miller’s ability to deliver complex district-wide upgrades under extreme time and climate pressures, with results that left the district “extremely pleased” with both the progress and the performance improvements.
