Today, we are proud to announce the launch of R.I.S.E. — Responsibility, Inclusion, Sustainability, and Engagement — a company-wide initiative that brings together and amplifies years of ongoing community impact work under one unified framework.
What is R.I.S.E.?
MacDonald-Miller R.I.S.E. is a focused evolution of our corporate citizenship efforts, led by our employees throughout Washington and Oregon. We think it’s the perfect vehicle to turn decades of grass-roots support for local and, at times, national efforts into a structured program to drive change around five foundational pillars:
- Giving & Philanthropy: Supporting causes that matter to our communities & empowering our employees to champion the causes they care about most. In addition to our corporate giving efforts, the employee-led Giving Fund has provided local community organizations with more than $1M in total funds to date.
- Inclusion & Belonging: Creating an inclusive culture where employees, partners, and future talent can thrive. We are committed to creating equitable pathways and a sense of belonging for all.
- Sustainability: Building on our leadership in energy and sustainability within the AEC industry, we continue advancing our Climate Pledge and MEP 2040 commitments through measurable environmental action.
- Community & Volunteerism: Making a local impact through hands-on involvement, supported by company-sponsored service & volunteer opportunities.
- Industry & Outreach: Investing in the next generation through partnerships, mentorship, and workforce development that strengthen the future of our industry.
By aligning these efforts into a shared strategy, we can deepen our partnerships, expand our reach, and create even greater impact together.
