Project Description

This project transformed a historic building into a Class A office environment, balancing adaptive reuse with modern performance expectations. The renovation preserved the character of the original structure while reimagining the interior to support a flexible, contemporary workplace.

MacDonald-Miller delivered integrated mechanical solutions tailored to the building’s open-ceiling design, including new fan coil units, piping, and ductwork. Systems were carefully coordinated to remain visually integrated while meeting comfort, efficiency, and indoor air quality requirements expected of a high-performance office space.

Supporting the project’s sustainability goals, MacDonald-Miller Engineering completed a Zero Carbon Feasibility Study, helping guide strategies aligned with long-term decarbonization and operational performance. The project has achieved LEED Gold and Fitwel 2-Star certifications and is pursuing International Living Future Institute Zero Carbon Certification, demonstrating a strong commitment to occupant well-being and environmental responsibility.
