Hyatt Regency Bellevue Expansion
MacDonald-Miller: Mechanical Contractor
This expansion entails a new 20-story tower with 351 guest rooms, five levels of below-grade parking, and a 18,000 sq. ft. ballroom, meeting rooms, retail areas and restaurants. The new construction blends fluidly in appearance and systems through the lobby and gardens.
Project Overview
- Mechanical systems for the hotel tower consist of chilled water to the guest-room fan coil units and high-pressure domestic hot water.
- Waste and vent systems are SoVent, a unique system where the waste and vent stacks are combined into one riser.
- Controls for the guest rooms are stand-alone thermostats controlling the fan coil units, while the podium and ballrooms are full DDC.
- Additional scope includes the installation of a new fuel fill, storage and delivery system to serve the existing tower via the existing emergency generator and the new tower via a new generator.
